Gert-Jan Dreessen - Angle of Incidence (CD Album)

Belgian jazz drummer and composer Gert-Jan Dreessen (b. 1995) presents his debut album as a leader, Angle of Incidence. The title reflects the idea that every experience—encounters, music, defining moments—impacts you from a different angle, subtly changing the way you perceive yourself and your music. This record is about those shifting perspectives, and how they become deeply embedded in your musical voice over time.

Gert-Jan is known for his sharp musical intuition, rich sound palette and strong rhythmic identity. He has performed internationally with musicians like Bert Joris, Logan Richardson, John O’Gallagher, Shai Maestro and Nduduzo Makhathini, and is a regular member of ensembles such as Flat Earth Society, Tomer Cohen Quartet and many more.
